Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north along the Cap d'Antibes coast, keeping 200 m off the rocky shore. Holding on sand between patches of Posidonia; check the anchor is not set on seagrass, which is protected along the whole Alpes-Maritimes coast. Exposed from NE through E to SE. Shift to Port Vauban at 0.6 nm S in an easterly blow.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Port Vauban, the largest marina in Europe by capacity, is within tender distance and has water, fuel, sanitaries and visitor berths. Port de la Salis is 1.7 nm S with more limited services.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral around the Cap d'Antibes reached from the Plage de la Garoupe at 1 km S, a signed 4 km coastal path. Phare de la Garoupe and the chapel on the cape's summit at 1,8 km. Old town of Antibes, Picasso Museum in the Château Grimaldi, and Marché Provençal on cours Masséna within 1 km of Port Vauban.
