Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the south between Cap de la Croisette and Cap d'Antibes. No tidal constraint. Entrance channel marked by red and green lights at the jetty heads. Shelter is limited from easterly swell. VHF 12 for the harbour office.
Practical
805 berths, max draught 3 m. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol at the base of the main jetty. Water and electricity on pontoons. Capitainerie open year round. The D-Marin Camille Rayon marina sits 0.2 NM east across the shared basin for larger yachts.
Ashore
Beach of Golfe-Juan alongside the port, sand, with lifeguards in season. Tuesday and Friday morning market on avenue de la Liberté at 300 m. Train station Golfe-Juan Vallauris at 400 m on the Nice to Cannes line. Musee Magnelli and the ceramic workshops of Vallauris 2.5 km inland by bus 5.
History
Napoleon landed here on 1 March 1815 on return from Elba, starting the route Napoleon to Grenoble. A commemorative column stands on the seafront by the roundabout of the Route Nationale 7.
