Approach and anchoring
Open approach on the lake, no tide. The reservoir can drop several metres in late autumn during hydro drawdown, check pontoon depths before arriving. Sailing school dinghies active off the port in summer.
Practical
50 berths, slipway and dinghy storage. Sailing school on site. Small shop and restaurants in the hamlet of Vauveix. Broader services at Auphelle 2.4 NM to the west.
Ashore
Centre international d'art et du paysage on the Île de Vassivière, reached by footbridge or launch, 4 km by road. Sentier du tour du lac, 27 km signposted walk around the reservoir. Waymarked VTT trails of the Montagne Limousine start at the port.
