Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south inside the rade de Brest, clear of the Roscanvel shore. Anchor in 3 to 6 m on sand. Shelter from N, NW and NE winds behind the peninsula; exposed to southerly breezes blowing down the rade. The small harbour of Port de la Croix lies 0.2 NM to the NW, Port de l'Argol 0.8 NM to the N as alternate refuges.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Small boat slip and a few local moorings ashore. Village of Roscanvel inland with bakery and grocery for basic provisioning.
