Reached by the Vilaine canalised reach, downstream from the Guipry-Messac lock 7,8 nm to the north and upstream from Redon 9,5 nm to the west. Air draught limited at the stone arched bridges of the Vilaine.

Pontoon moorings on the left bank. Water and electricity on the pontoon. Small grocery and bakery in Beslé village within 500 m of the quay.
Ashore
Towpath along the Vilaine offers walking and cycling between Redon and Messac. Gare de Beslé on the Nantes to Rennes TER line is 300 m from the quay, a practical option for crew changes.
