Approach and anchoring
Anchoring is forbidden in the core zone of the national park around the point. Passage along the shore only. Sand and rock bottom. Sheltered from NW, N and NE winds but exposed to the south swell that runs along the Cap Morgiou.
Practical
No anchoring permitted. The closest authorised shelter is Port de Morgiou at 0.5 NM N, with only a handful of visitor berths managed by the local nautical club. Port-Miou at 3.2 NM E is the main overnight option for visiting yachts.
Ashore
The Cosquer cave, a decorated palaeolithic site with submerged entrance, opens into the cliff near the point. The original cave is closed to the public; a full-size replica is open at the Villa Méditerranée in Marseille.
