Approach and anchoring
Approach through the rocky archipelago north of Plouguerneau requires large-scale chart work and preferably a first visit in daylight on a rising tide. Many drying rocks; follow the cardinal marks. Exposed to north and west winds; leave before weather shifts from the western quadrant.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Club Nautique de Plouguerneau 2.6 NM W for advice and dinghy landing. Perroz 4.7 NM SW as a secondary refuge.
Ashore
Sentier des douaniers GR 34 runs along the Plouguerneau coast, passing the Île Vierge lighthouse, at 82.5 metres the tallest traditional stone lighthouse in the world, lit in 1902.
