Approach and anchoring

Approach from seaward with no off-lying dangers once clear of the shoreline. Mixed bottom of sand, rock and posidonia, so scout for a clear sand patch before dropping. Posidonia anchoring is regulated along this coast under the Préfecture Maritime de la Méditerranée ZMEL scheme. Shelter from the north quadrant only, fully exposed to the south.

Practical

No services at the anchorage. Port de la Figueirette lies 0.6 NM west and Port La Galère 0.8 NM north-east for berths, water and fuel.

Ashore

The Corniche d'Or road runs above the anchorage with the Esquillon viewpoint directly overhead. The Esterel massif starts at the shore, with red volcanic trails including the Pic de l'Ours at 492 m, reached on foot from Théoule, 2 km east along the coast road.
