Approach and anchoring
Enter the Odet on the flood, keeping to the red-green buoyed channel. Tidal stream runs hard through the narrows, up to 3 knots on springs. Sand holding. Shelter from N and NE; exposed to southerlies pushing in from the Baie de la Forêt.
Practical
Forain anchorage. Visitor buoys and pontoon berths available at Sainte-Marine marina at 0,9 NM N and at Bénodet on the east bank at 1,1 NM N, both with water, diesel and showers.
Ashore
Pedestrian ferry links Sainte-Marine to Bénodet year-round, crossing every 15 minutes in season. GR 34 coastal path runs along both banks. Restaurants and bakeries on the quay at Sainte-Marine. Phare de la Pyramide on the Bénodet side, built in 1848, still active.
