Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south by the buoyed Odet channel past the Pointe de Combrit lighthouse. Sand holding. Protection from N, NE and E winds. Exposed to SW and S swell coming up the estuary. Watch the ebb stream which runs strongly out of the Odet. Keep clear of the swimming area in summer.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. Sainte-Marine marina sits 0.8 NM NW with water, electricity and visitor pontoons, Bénodet 0.9 NM NW on the east bank for all services.
Ashore
Plage du Trez stretches along the cove. Sentier des douaniers runs north to the Odet estuary mouth and south towards the Pointe de Combrit lighthouse within 2 km. Shops and restaurants in Bénodet village, 15 minutes on foot or by the passenger ferry across the Odet.
