Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south, clear of the Îles de Lérins channel. Entrance between two jetties marked by red and green lights. Maximum draught 1.6 m at the entrance, limiting access for deep-keel yachts at low water. VHF channel 9. Shelter from prevailing easterlies, exposed to strong southerlies.
Practical
272 berths with water and electricity at pontoons. Fuel berth on the northern jetty. Showers and WC at the capitainerie. Chandlery and small boatyard on site. Bus stop for Cannes centre 400 m from the port.
Ashore
Boulevard de la Croisette runs 2 km west to the Palais des Festivals. Plage de la Croisette extends along the shoreline from the port, with public sections at 300 m. Îles de Lérins ferries depart from the Vieux Port, 2 km west, for Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat.
History
The marina was inaugurated in 1965 and named after Pierre Canto, a local figure who promoted the development of yachting in Cannes. It was the first modern marina built east of the old harbour to absorb the growth of pleasure boating on the Côte d'Azur.
