Approach and anchoring

Approach from the Cannes roadstead. Sand patches alternate with posidonia; drop on clear sand only, posidonia is legally protected along this coast. Exposed from NW through SE, untenable in strong mistral. Port des Moines 0.2 NM S, Sainte-Marguerite jetty 0.7 NM NW.

Practical

No services on the plateau itself. Tenders land at the Sainte-Marguerite jetty for the fort, the Lérins abbey on Saint-Honorat, and the forest paths.

Ashore

Fort Royal and the Musée de la Mer on Sainte-Marguerite at 0.7 NM, with the cell said to have held the Man in the Iron Mask. Lérins abbey on Saint-Honorat, Cistercian community active since 1869, vineyard and shop open to visitors.
