Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south along the coast between Le Lavandou and Cap Bénat. Clear sandy bay, no charted hazards on the approach. Posidonia zones are protected: drop the anchor in the marked sand patches. Exposed to E and SE swell, untenable with an onshore wind.
Practical
Forain mooring, no services on the water. Le Lavandou harbour lies 0.6 NM SW for diesel, water and supplies. Bormes-les-Mimosas is 1.4 NM SW. Boulangerie and small shops on the beach road in summer.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs directly behind the beach, linking Le Lavandou to Cap Nègre. Restaurants along the Boulevard du Four des Maures. Bus line 8801 stops at Saint-Clair for the Hyères to Le Lavandou corridor.
