Approach and anchoring
Approach through the granite islets of the Pink Granite Coast, chart and markers essential at low water due to drying rocks. Sand bottom, good holding. Protection from NW through N, W, SW, S to SE, effectively covered except from the east. Tidal range up to 10 m on spring tides in this area.
Practical
No facilities at the beach. Landrellec pontoons lie 0.7 NM NE, Port Saint-Sauveur 1.1 NM SW for dinghy landings and local shops.
Ashore
Toul Gwen sits on the Pink Granite Coast between Trégastel and Trébeurden. GR 34 coastal path runs along the shore towards Île Grande and the Renote peninsula. Ornithological reserve of the Sept-Îles archipelago lies 6 NM to the north, the largest seabird reserve in France.
