Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south across the Baie de Quiberon, keeping clear of the Roche Vieille and Grand Mont rocks to the west. Holding on sand with rocky patches, so drop clear of kelp. Open to winds from S and SW, with protection from the NW through NE sector only.
Practical
Fair weather stop only. Port de Saint-Jacques 0.6 NM east and Port aux Moines 1.2 NM west offer shelter if the wind shifts south.
Ashore
Sandy beach fronting the anchorage, with the small harbour of Saint-Jacques 0.6 NM east for tenders and shops. Coastal path GR 34 runs along the cliff above the beach, linking Saint-Jacques to Penvins chapel 2 km east.
