Approach from the east, open coast with no offshore dangers. Sand bottom, good holding. Exposed to north-west tramontane and to west and north winds. Cabanes de Fleury harbour lies 0.7 NM to the north at the river mouth, Port Chichoulet 0.8 NM to the north.

Mouillage forain without services. Fuel, water and shops at Cabanes de Fleury inside the Aude river mouth. Mooring area inside the Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée.

Plage des Cabanes de Fleury runs north from the anchorage. Aude river mouth and bird reserve of the Basse Plaine de l'Aude at 1 km, classed Natura 2000. Village of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer at 3 km north.
