Sheltered, deep-water basin off Roanoke Sound. Manteo Waterfront Marina lies 1.6 nautical miles to the north-west.
Practical
The marina has 195 berths and a fuel berth supplying petrol and diesel, with mid-dock fuelling points so many boats top up alongside their own berth. There is a ship's store, tackle shop, fish cleaning stations, showers and dining. The charter fleet works the offshore grounds out of Oregon Inlet.
Story
The marina pavilion hosts the Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament, a long-running offshore tournament series that draws sportfishing boats from across the East Coast each summer.
