Anchorage off Ile Dumet, a 7-hectare island 3 NM off the Mesquer coast in southern Brittany.

Approach and anchoring
Approach from the NE or E side where the island gives a lee. Rock bottom, hold variable, set and dive to confirm. Sheltered from NE and E winds only, fully exposed to the west.
Practical
No services on the island. Piriac-sur-Mer 3.7 NM to the SE is the closest harbour, then Port de Lerat 4.5 NM to the SE.
Ashore
Landing possible by tender on the eastern beach when calm. The island is a classified nature reserve for nesting seabirds with restricted access between 15 April and 31 August.
History
Ile Dumet carries a ruined fort built under Vauban and modified in the 19th century, and a lighthouse rebuilt after the Second World War.
