Approach and anchoring
Access by the lake only. Max draught 0.8 m at the berths, limiting entry to small craft and dinghies. No tidal constraint.
Practical
4 berths only. No fuel at the port. Refuges nearby: Moutéou at 0.3 NM NW and Port Les Sandres at Gastes at 2.4 NM W. Town centre of Parentis-en-Born a short distance inland with shops.
History
The lake has hosted the Latécoère flying boat tests since the 1930s, and an onshore oil field operated by Esso, then Vermilion, has been active at Parentis since 1954.
