Small freshwater harbour on Lake Cazaux-Sanguinet, attached to the Siblu Les Viviers holiday village, on the western shore of the lake in the Landes.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Access from the lake only. No tide, no current. Watch for swimmers and sailing dinghies in summer. The lake is closed to the sea, so the harbour is reached by trailer or by the canal link from Lake Biscarrosse to the north.
Practical
Limited visitor capacity, priority given to residents of the Siblu holiday village. Water and electricity on the pontoons. Toilets and showers at the village. Supermarket and bakery in Gastes village about 1 km inland.
Ashore
Sandy swimming beach next to the harbour. Cycle path along the lake shore toward Biscarrosse-Plage 12 km to the west. Pine forest of the Landes de Gascogne regional park around the whole lake.
