Full-service marina on the Mianus River at Cos Cob, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Long Island Sound through Cos Cob Harbor and up the Mianus River. The railroad bridge across the river has a fixed clearance of about 19 feet. Tidal range on the river runs roughly 6 to 7 feet, so deeper-draught boats should plan their arrival around the tide.
Practical
Family-run since 1977. Mechanical service and hull repairs, with a 35-ton travel lift for hauling and launching. Fuel berth selling petrol and diesel, open 7 days a week. Ship's store on site. Next to I-95 exit 5 and the Cos Cob Metro-North station.
Ashore
The Bush-Holley House sits across the road, a National Historic Landmark and former artists' colony that hosted American Impressionist painters from the 1890s. Cos Cob shops and restaurants are within a short walk.
