Member-run boat club on the Mianus River at Cos Cob, in Greenwich, Connecticut, one of four town-owned recreational marinas.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Cos Cob Harbour by the dredged river channel, charted at 6 metres draught allowance only on paper as silting has reduced it below 1.2 metres at low water. The railway bascule bridge gives 20 feet of clearance and a fixed road bridge upriver gives 45 feet. Keep clear of Newfoundland Reef, Red Rock and Hitchcock Rock on the approach.
Practical
Berths take vessels up to 45 feet. There is a free pump-out station. The club has no paid staff and is run by its members, so visitors should contact the Fleet Captain before arriving to confirm a transient berth.
