Approach and anchoring
On the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway near mile 182, at the mouth of the Neuse River. The harbour has no lunar tide. Transient vessels lie on face docks, with longer berths inside for monohulls and catamarans.
Practical
Deep-water berths run 30 to 50 feet. Each berth has 30 and 50 amp shore power. Heads, showers, laundry, a portable pump-out, fresh water and wifi are included. The village shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
Ashore
Oriental is known locally as North Carolina's sailing capital and runs sailing regattas through the year. A sailing school and fishing charters operate from the marina, and the village shops sit a short walk from the berths.
