Approach and anchoring
Anchorage on the Neuse River close to Oriental, near the half-acre Lou Mac Park waterfront. Mud bottom. Sheltered from the NW and N; open to the river on its southern and eastern sides.
Practical
Free anchorage with no facilities of its own. The two town free docks lie about 0.3 mile to the NW and W, each first come first served, with no water or shore power and roughly 7 feet at mid-dock. Shops and chandlery are within walking distance in Oriental village.
