Approach and anchoring
Reached from the main river channel above the Old Saybrook railway and highway bridges. The marina sits in the sheltered water behind Calves Island, one of the better natural anchorages on the river. Berths and moorings take boats up to 60ft.
Practical
Berths and moorings, plus a full boatyard handling refits, awlgrip refinishing, rigging and repowers for sail and power, wood or glass. Winter storage and transient berths. Run by the Abrahamsson family since 1973.
Ashore
The Town of Old Lyme keeps a transient anchorage for about six boats between Goose Island and Calves Island, with two white town mooring balls, 2 night limit. Florence Griswold Museum, centre of the Lyme Art Colony, is about 2 miles away in Old Lyme village.
