Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach via the Oakland Inner Harbor channel, west of the Park Street Bridge. Use VHF 16 to call ahead for transient berthing. Coast Guard Island lies to the north of the fairway, keep clear of the federal channel and watch for commercial traffic in the estuary.
Practical
200 berths plus three large end-ties. Each berth has 30 amp 125 V shore power and potable water. Restrooms, showers, on-site restaurant and a small bar. Reciprocal moorage for visiting yacht club members. Address 1101 Pacific Marina, phone 510 522 6868.
Ashore
Marina Village shops and cafes within 400 metres. Alameda South Shore Center supermarket 2 km south. Crab Cove and Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach 3 km south by bike along the Bay Trail.
History
Founded in 1913, the club moved to its current Pacific Marina site after the Second World War. Its membership long included builders of the Bay Area sailing scene, with active racing and cruising fleets on San Francisco Bay.
