Anchorage basin off the village of Northport, at the southeastern end of Northport Bay on the north shore of Long Island, New York.

Approach and anchoring
Entered by a dredged channel running along the Northport waterfront, with the anchorage basin lying west of the village. Controlling depth in the channel and basin was around 6 feet at the 2015 survey, so deeper-draught yachts choose their berth with care. The bottom is mud, with good holding, sheltered from west through south to southeast.
Practical
Northport Yacht Club is 0.3 mile south and Centerport Yacht Club 0.7 mile south. The village centre is a short tender ride away, with shops and provisions within walking distance.
History
First settled by English colonists as Great Cow Harbour, the village was renamed Northport in 1837 and incorporated in 1894. Trolley rails from a long-closed streetcar line still run through the 19th-century village centre.
