Approach and anchoring
From Lake Erie, enter Ashtabula Harbour between the breakwaters and follow the river south. The 1925 Strauss bascule lift bridge on Ohio State Route 531 opens on the hour and half-hour around the clock during the summer season.

Dockage for up to 250 boats with full-service pump-out, heads with showers, pool and hot tubs, on-site playground. 32 seasonal campsites with water, sewer and Wi-Fi alongside the river.
Ashore
Historic Ashtabula Harbour district sits at the river mouth with restaurants and the National Register lift bridge. Jack's Marine workshop is 0.3 nm north on the same river bank. Geneva-on-the-Lake resort town lies 8 nm west.
History
Ashtabula Harbour was a major Underground Railroad terminus before the Civil War. Fugitive slaves boarded vessels here for the crossing to Canada.
