Approach and anchoring
Reached from the upper Chesapeake Bay via the North East River. Fixed and floating docks take vessels up to 50ft overall and 12ft beam.
Practical
About 150 wet berths, 28 of them covered, with shore power, water and cable hookups. There is a fuel berth, a parts store and dry rack storage with year-round forklift service. Transient berths bookable through Snag-A-Slip.
History
Shelter Cove Yacht Basin opened in 1962 and was run by Woody Jackson from 1976. It passed to Galahad Marine Properties in 2016 and is now managed by Oasis Marinas.
