Town-run marina at Compo Beach in Westport, Connecticut, on the Saugatuck River side of Long Island Sound.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from Long Island Sound and into Compo Cove off the Saugatuck estuary. The harbour holds around 550 berths, mostly seasonal, with a small number kept for transient boats. Hail the harbour master before arrival, as visitor space is limited.
Practical
Fixed and floating pontoons with 30 and 50 amp shore power, fresh water and shoreside facilities. A petrol berth serves smaller craft. A clubhouse on site can be hired for functions. Compo Beach and its shops sit a short walk away.
Ashore
Compo Beach fronts the marina, with swimming and a playground within walking distance. Westport town centre lies about 3 km north, with shops and restaurants along the Post Road.
