Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the east. Sand and weed bottom, holding uneven over the posidonia patches. Protection from westerly winds behind the Cap d'Antibes; exposed from NE through SE. Port de la Salis lies 0.4 NM NW, Port du Crouton 0.9 NM W for shelter.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services on the buoy field. Tender landing on the beach. Showers and beach bars along Plage de la Salis in season.
Ashore
Plage de la Salis is a 400 m sand beach just ashore. Chapel of La Garoupe and the lighthouse sit on the ridge of Cap d'Antibes at about 1.2 km, with a marked path from the beach. Musee Picasso at the Chateau Grimaldi in old Antibes is around 1.8 km along the coast road.
