Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east off the beach. Drop on sand in 4 to 6 metres. Holding good on sand. Shelter from SW round to NW, open to the east and exposed to the tramontane once it veers northeast. Swell builds quickly with onshore winds.
Practical
No facilities ashore, the back-beach is a protected nature reserve. Saint-Cyprien marina lies 1.7 nm north and Port Argelès 3 nm south. Both take visitors with full services.
Ashore
Réserve naturelle nationale du Mas Larrieu protects 145 hectares of dunes, riparian woodland and the lower Tech, with a marked trail along the river. Village of Argelès 3 km south by road, grocery and market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Collioure and its royal castle 10 km south.
