Guide

Approach and anchoring

Narrow entrance channel between two jetties, head NW. Max draught 2 m. Sandy shoals close to the approach axis. Exposed to southerly swells, uncomfortable in strong onshore wind. VHF 9.

Practical

200 berths, water and electricity on the pontoons. Toilets and showers ashore. Shops and restaurants along the seafront within 200 m.

Ashore

Long sandy beach of the Lido running north to Sète, accessible on foot. Oyster tables of the étang de Thau 1 km inland, tastings along the D51E. Coastal cycle path to Sète, 15 km NE.

Story

The Lido de Sète was reshaped in 2017 by the Conservatoire du littoral, which moved the coastal road inland to protect the dunes.
