Approach and anchoring
Entry from the Etang de Thau, a shallow coastal lagoon with charted depths of 4 to 5 m in the navigable channels. Mistral and tramontane can raise a short sea on the etang. Keep to marked channels to avoid shellfish farming tables.
Practical
Pontoon berths on the Marseillan waterfront. Water and electricity at the berth. Fuel, chandlery and sanitary block at the neighbouring Port de Marseillan a few hundred metres south-east.
Ashore
Noilly Prat distillery and tasting cellar at the Maison Noilly Prat in the village of Marseillan, founded 1813, at 400 m. Oyster and mussel tasting shacks along the quai de la Resistance. Marseillan-Plage sandy beach at 2.5 km by road or via the etang shore.
