Approach and anchoring

Reached from Jones Inlet up Freeport Creek, about 15 minutes' run from the inlet and close to the Nautical Mile. The creek carries roughly 10 metres at low water, sheltered from swell and through traffic.

Practical

Twenty-five berths and around 2,000 metres of linear dock taking boats up to 45 metres, plus dry and winter storage. The yard sells and services new and used boats and offers waterside lodging.

Ashore

Freeport's Nautical Mile runs along Woodcleft Canal a short distance away, a one-mile strip of seafood restaurants, bars and charter berths. Fire Island lies about 15 miles to the south.
