Approach and anchoring

Entry from the bay between the Cap d'Antibes and the Var estuary. Approach open to swell from the south-east. Entrance channel marked by red and green beacons. VHF 9 on Marina Baie des Anges capitainerie.

Practical

Berths on concrete pontoons, water and electricity at each post. Fuel berth at the main Marina Baie des Anges quay. Sanitary block with showers. Small supermarket and restaurants on the marina esplanade within 200 m.

Ashore

Plage de Villeneuve-Loubet at 300 m, pebble and sand beach. Musée Escoffier de l'art culinaire in the birthplace of chef Auguste Escoffier at 1.2 km. Cagnes-sur-Mer and the Château-Musée Grimaldi at 4 km.

History

Marina Baie des Anges was designed by architect André Minangoy and built between 1969 and 1993. Its four curved residential pyramids are listed as 20th century heritage by the French Ministry of Culture since 2001.
