Approach and anchoring
Reached by following the Thames River north from Long Island Sound, past New London and Gales Ferry. The marina sits at the head of navigation in Norwich harbour, the last deep water before the rivers shoal.
Practical
Around 160 floating berths, with seasonal and transient dockage for vessels up to 238ft. Shore power in 30, 50 and 100 amp. There is a swimming pool, an events building, locker rooms with showers and a restaurant on site.
Ashore
The marina is part of the downtown Norwich waterfront, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. A shuttle runs to the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos, about a 10 minute drive away.
Story
The marina has hosted Norwich's annual July 4th fireworks display over the harbour since 1988.
