Approach and anchoring

Approach from the lake by the Lorain Harbor Light, a white tower on the western end of the outer breakwall, then steer south-east to the junction light to enter the river behind the breakwalls. Sand bottom with holding sheltered from NW through S to SE. The harbour stays exposed from the north and east.

Practical

Fresh water is available at the anchorage. Oasis Marinas at Port Lorain lies 0.3 nm to the west and Gene's Marine Sales and Service 0.3 nm to the south, both reachable for fuel, repairs and provisioning.
