Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Lake Michigan through the Pentwater channel and across Pentwater Lake. The bayou holds about 30 feet of water close to the shore, which makes for wide swinging room. The bottom is sand, mud and weed, so set the anchor well.
Practical
An anchorage with no facilities, used to lie off the village and the city docks. Snug Harbor Marina is 0.4 miles to the north-east and Pentwater Municipal Marina, which takes boats up to 45 feet, 0.5 miles to the north. The village shops sit a short tender ride away.
