Approach and anchoring

Approach via the Loire navigable channel. Maximum draught 1 m, strongly tide-dependent on this section of the estuary. Strong currents on flood and ebb. Bac du Pellerin, the car ferry crossing the Loire, operates next to the port and must be given right of way.

Practical

Pontoon berths managed by the local nautical association. Water on the pontoon. Shops in the town of Le Pellerin 300 m from the quay, including boulangerie, pharmacy and supermarket.

Ashore

Loire à Vélo cycle route passes through Le Pellerin, linking Nantes to Saint-Brevin along the estuary. Estuaire Nantes Saint-Nazaire art trail includes several works visible from the river bank, part of the permanent open-air collection installed since the 2007 biennale.
