Approach and anchoring
Access from the buoyed estuary channel, bearing north at the Cordemais power station stacks which serve as a daytime landmark. Depth in the pool is kept dredged for barges. Watch the Loire current, which runs up to 3 knots on the ebb at springs. Maximum draught in the basin 2 metres.
Practical
About 60 berths managed by the commune with water and electricity on the pontoons. Bakery and small grocery in the village centre at 600 metres. Loire Nautic Services yard at 0.3 NM east handles lift-out and wintering.
Ashore
Village square and Saint-Ouen church at 600 metres from the pontoons. Loire estuary towpath walk towards Lavau-sur-Loire at 3.5 NM NW, passing through the Natura 2000 wet meadows. Estuaire art trail installations visible from the riverbank between Cordemais and Le Pellerin.
