Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach by day at mid-tide or better; the northern coast of Noirmoutier dries in places and rocky heads fringe the shore. Sand holding, depths of 2 to 5 m at low water. Shelter from SW, S and SE, exposed to the N sector. Avoid in a northerly blow.
Practical
L'Herbaudière fishing and marina port 1,3 nm west, with fuel berth, water, electricity and a capitainerie on VHF 9. Noirmoutier-en-l'Île drying harbour 2,1 nm south-east for keelboats able to take the ground.
Ashore
Beaches of Luzeronde and La Linière within walking distance, backed by a pine forest. The Passage du Gois, the tidal causeway linking the island to the mainland, lies 6 km south of the anchorage by road.
