Guide
Approach and anchoring
Drying entry, practicable two hours either side of high water. Narrow buoyed channel across the mudflats, maximum draught 0.8 m on the berths. Unlit at night. Approach from the west via the Chenal de la Grise. VHF 9.
Practical
Pontoons in a drying basin, boats sit on the mud at low water. Fuel station on the quay. Water and electricity. Capitainerie open during tidal gates. Small shops and the village of L'Épine at 1 km.
Ashore
Plage des Sableaux and west-coast beaches at 1 km on foot or by bike. Salt marshes of Noirmoutier with working salt workers around the port. Passage du Gois, the 4,3 km tidal causeway linking the island to the mainland, at 9 km to the south-east.
