Marina inside the mouth of the Kennebunk River at Kennebunkport, Maine, sheltered from open-water winds and seas.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The Kennebunk River lies about 2.5 miles south-west of Goat Island Light. The entrance runs between two stone jetties, the easterly one marked by Kennebunkport Breakwater Light 6 on a white skeleton tower. The bar carries little water, around 4 ft at low water in places, and heavy seas can break across the entrance. Take care on the ebb and in southerly weather.
Practical
96 wet berths inside the river, with a maximum length of 84 ft and 18 ft beam. There is shore power, water, showers, laundry, wifi, a boat ramp and pump-out. Members may borrow single and tandem kayaks, and kayak hire is open to the public.
Ashore
The shops, galleries and restaurants of Dock Square in Kennebunkport are a short walk from the marina. The Marginal Way coastal path and Goat Island Light are within reach along the shore.
