Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter San Diego Bay between Point Loma and Zuniga Jetty, then follow the main channel north-east to Shelter Island. The marina sits on the inner south-east side of Shelter Island basin, well sheltered from Pacific swell.
Practical
Berths for 30 to 200 foot yachts. Water, shore power, showers, heads, laundry, dock carts, parking and security. First marina in the United States certified flare-free. Office staffed Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00 to 14:00.
History
Named after Intrepid, the 12-Metre America's Cup defender skippered for the Driscoll family by Gerry Driscoll in 1974. The Driscoll boatyard has operated on Shelter Island since the 1940s.
