Approach and anchoring
Approach from the W from the Plateau du Four sector. Sand bottom. Shelter from W, SW and S. Exposed to N and NE. Shallow bay that dries in part on the outer edges at low water of spring tides, read the chart carefully. VHF 9.
Practical
200 buoys managed by the commune of Mesquer, no pontoon. Dinghy access to the Kercabellec slip 0.7 NM to E for water and provisions. Piriac-sur-Mer marina 3.1 NM to SW for fuel, crane and full services.
Ashore
Kercabellec fishing hamlet 0.7 NM with restaurants on the old salt quay. Salines de Guérande salt marshes inland, Maison des Paludiers at Saillé 6 km by road. GR 34 coastal path runs along the Pointe de Merquel to the lighthouse.
