Approach and anchoring
Approach from the pass between Berder and Larmor-Baden. Very strong tidal streams of up to 4 knots around the islet, slack water is the safe window. Sand bottom with patches of weed, holding uneven on algae. Shelter from NW, W and SW; open to the east.
Practical
Public moorings managed by the commune of Larmor-Baden. No services on the islet. Water, shops and restaurants at Larmor-Baden, 0.4 nm to the west. Port Lagaden lies 0.6 nm west as a fallback pontoon.
Ashore
Island is linked to Larmor-Baden by a tidal causeway passable at low water. Coastal footpath loop around Berder, about 2 km. Cairn of Gavrinis is 1 nm to the south-east by dinghy, prehistoric passage tomb open to visitors.
