Approach and anchoring
From Lake Erie, head for the Huron Harbor west pier light. Enter between the piers and the marina lies on the E bank just inside the river mouth at 400 Huron Street. No tidal range. Sheltered basin behind the harbour breakwaters.
Practical
Rack storage for powerboats up to 8 metres, wet berths, dockage and full service. Chandlery and ships store, marine repair shop, heads and showers, beer and wine carry-out. Home dock of the US Geological Survey 21 m research vessel Muskie. New ships store, restrooms and seawalls following recent refurbishment under new ownership.
Ashore
Huron downtown 400 m S along Huron Street with shops and dining. Huron Boat Basin park, splash pad and amphitheatre 200 m N at the river mouth. Pier walk out to the 1939 Huron Harbor lighthouse 1.2 km along the west pier.
