Approach and anchoring
Reached via the Mayenne, a canalised river managed by the département of Maine-et-Loire. Navigation operates from April to early November by the lock-keepers schedule. Maximum draft 1.2 m, maximum length 25 m for pleasure craft. Current is weak on the biefs between locks.
Practical
Short quay with a handful of mooring rings, water point and electricity pedestal. No fuel on site. Bakery and small grocery in the village of Montreuil-Juigné within 600 m. Angers city port at cale de la Savate, 4.6 NM downstream, for larger services.
Ashore
Towpath of the Mayenne open to cyclists and walkers runs along the quay. Château du Plessis-Macé, a 15th-century fortified residence with a chapel and tilting ground, at 7 km by road. Angers city centre with the Apocalypse Tapestry housed in the castle at 4 NM downstream.
