Approach and anchoring
On the Sarthe between Chateauneuf-sur-Sarthe and Juvardeil. Reached through the ecluse de Cheffes, manned lock operated by Departement de Maine-et-Loire in season. Low air draft under the road bridge, check clearance at high water. Speed limit 6 km/h in the reach.
Practical
Small pontoon alongside the bank with a few berths for river cruising boats. Water tap and power bollard on the pontoon in season. Bakery and small grocery in the village within 400 m.
Ashore
Church of Saint-Aubin, 12th to 15th century, 300 m from the halt. Walking loop along the Sarthe towpath in both directions. Chateau de Cheffes, private, visible 1 km upstream.
